  • Aiming for zero accidents

    Crane Operations have been the cause of most fatal accidents offshore during the last ten years. Now safety has been enhanced. Starting 1 January 2012 a requirement for a Trade certificate at the Sture terminal and all  land terminals in Norway was introduced.

  • Bryne received green windmills for Christmas

    Vest Kran installed Norway's first windmills with green certificates on Jærens steepest peak.

  • New Helideck at Haukeland Hospital

    Vest Kran has over the years built up a substantial competence in building homes, commercial buildings, roads, heating plants, wind turbines and various off- and onshore structures. Few things are so inspiring to be a part of than to build something that can help people in need to receive necessary help as soon as possible. It is with great pride that we are helping to build the helideck at Haukeland University Hospital.

    Far to the North, among the mountains, fjords and killer whales is Narvik, with its beautiful arctic nature. It was, however, neither the beautiful scenery or the great ski resorts that attracted Vest Kran, when we in 2007 we followed the compass northward and went off with cranes and personnel.

    Also others than those directly involved were impressed by the cooperation and practical efficiency that was demonstrated during the salvage of a mobile crane that had overturned in Hordaland. According to a newspaper article  in Hordaland, the leader of the fishing team in Granby, Sven-Helge Pedersen was very impressed by the operation.

    In the trial after the Vest Tank accident the owner Emblem Holding was sentenced to pay Trafigura / Alexela about 154 million in claims. The company could not meet the requirements and was declared bankrupt. Emblem Holding AS also owned companies Emblem Eiendom AS, Vest Kran Wind Power AS og Vestkran kranutleie og byggmontering AS. Trond Emblem owned 100% of the shares of Emblem Holding AS.
